In routine we read Quran In Arabic .Why we dont read only in Urdu .Because urdu we can understand easily & every thing will be clear for our guiance.

  6. Bushra, I agree. One should read the Quran in the language he/she understands (in addition to reading it in Arabic) because only then is he/she able to understand its message. The Quran was sent as a practical guide book/manual of life to mankind.

Can we use Rahman as our name

  9. Masoom,

I’m not sure…but why not use Abdul-Rahman (servant of Al-Rahman)? This is one of the most blessed names (along with Abdullah, Mohammad and Ahmed).

what is the purpose of our life
    i am v.angry person
i ‘ve found peace and satisfaction in NAMAZ
but i want 2 find ALLAH in NAMAZ
how it can be possible bciz HE is invisible

  17. muskan, I would suggest you try to find a knowledgable local imam or sheikh to help answer your questions. In the mean time, there are also some internet resources (example: see websites under Islam on this blog). You may also find this new website by Sheikh Yusuf Estes useful:

    And this as well:

Yes, Allah is invisible but one can ‘feel’ the connection to Him in the heart at moments of sincere worship. May Allah (swt) bless us all with such moments.

And when My servants ask you, [O Muhammad], concerning Me – indeed I am near. I respond to the invocation of the supplicant when he calls upon Me. So let them respond to Me [by obedience] and believe in Me that they may be [rightly] guided. [Holy Quran - 2:186]
