The last I’ve heard, it seems Sheikh Anwar Al Awlaki is still unjustly imprisoned in Yemen, may Allah (swt) give him patience and alleviate any hardships he may be facing. Check this site for info on the campaign to free him and this post for updates on his situation.
For those of you who haven’t heard of Sheikh Anwar, masha’Allah, he is one of the most inspiring scholars I know of. His lecture series on the stories of the prophets (peace be upon all of them) are an amazing resource, especially for English-speaking Muslims who do not have access to Arabic texts. You can listen to some of those lectures for free on the Islamic Broadcasting Network .
Also, the video below is a short naseeha (advice) from Sheikh Anwar to the Muslim worker/activist. A very practical and useful reminder.
I will try to post more stuff on actions we can take to help Sheikh Anwar get out. For now keep him in your prayers and check out the campaign link above.

May Allah help him and may Allah release him from such unjust and difficult time. Does anyone know about him? I see a lot of his CDs on sale, does any of the profit from the sale of his CDs goes to any organization toward helping him to be release?
